You may choose to donate benefits from a life insurance policy. If you do so in a revocable manner, you may change or revoke this gift at any time during the remainder of your life. When you pass and the gift is completed, your estate will receive a charitable estate tax deduction equivalent to the value of the gift.
HOW IT WORKS
You designate the FOCUS Mission Foundation as a beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy.
You continue to pay premiums (if any).
BENEFITS TO YOU
You have the satisfaction of making a significant gift to the FOCUS Mission Foundation at a
relatively low cost.
Because you remain the policy owner, you retain control to name or change beneficiaries. And you can continue to provide for your family if you name the Foundation as a contingent beneficiary or one of several beneficiaries.
You benefit from a reduction in estate taxes because the death benefit is removed from your estate.
BENEFITS TO THE FOCUS MISSION FOUNDATION
Following your lifetime, your gift will be used for the benefit of the FOCUS Mission Foundation.
Often, your gift can be much larger than what you might give during your lifetime.
